Ce faux-ch\u00e2ssis est reli\u00e9 au ch\u00e2ssis \u00e0 l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re par un palier fixe et repose sur les longerons du ch\u00e2ssis du v\u00e9hicule. Des guides lat\u00e9raux maintiennent le faux-ch\u00e2ssis et le ch\u00e2ssis du v\u00e9hicule centr\u00e9s l&rsquo;un par rapport \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre, tout en garantissant une bonne flexibilit\u00e9 en torsion au ch\u00e2ssis. Ce dernier s&rsquo;adapte ainsi aux irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s du sol sans perdre le contact avec le sol trop rapidement. De plus, la transmission des forces vers la cabine est \u00e9vit\u00e9e, m\u00eame sur terrain accident\u00e9.
